My husband and I have always made time for date nights, even in the busy years when the kids were small and nights out were hard to come by. One evening, as we headed out the door, my young son asked me why Mom and Dad always went on dates. I gave him an honest answer. I had no idea he was paying such close attention, or that a few days later he’d turn that answer right back on me.
