You were never meant to
balance it all.
You were meant to make music.
For the faithful, exhausted woman who’s done striving to balance it all and is ready to compose a new song for her life, one choice at a time, with God who knows how to bring it into harmony.

COMPOSING IN REAL TIME
The wrong notes still
belong in the song.
I am composing my own life, one measure
at a time, in real time. I can’t see the whole
composition. Sometimes I can barely see the
next measure. But I keep composing.
The wrong notes get folded into the music.
The unexpected rests become part of the rhythm.
The things I never would have chosen become
part of the whole. I compose anyway. Because
the Conductor never leaves.
